Hanging out in Moab

We stayed at an RV resort for our 3 nights in Moab and it was quite a great way to end our vacation. They had a great pool, unlimited time in the showers in an air conditioned bathroom, and our spot got a decent amount of shade!

Our child is pure klutz...we keep telling each other that she'll eventually learn to watch where her feet are going, but thus far that hasn't happened. Here is a picture of her knees toward the end of the trip...the bruises are hard to see and they had already healed up some if that tells you anything!

 

Here's a peak into our mornings when Naomi is ready to get up and go and Josh and I are soaking up the fact that it's vacation and we want to just relax for a bit longer :)

The first day we tried the pool, Naomi was not a fan. She whined, barely touched the water, and kept saying, 'Nomi go home' and 'Nomi no want to mom.'

 So she was definitely excited when we told her we were leaving the pool to go to a park :)

This is life-size Chinese Checkers, they also had life-size Chess and regular Checkers. Naomi was quite entertained by these and the playground they had...worth the few extra bucks a night? You bet!

 The next day we tried the pool again, and this time a little girl probably in the 3rd or 4th grade came and talked to Naomi and showed her how she swam in the pool...Naomi was sold!

 We couldn't get her to stop 'jumping' (more like a lean) off the edge after that :)

 

She even let me show her how she can lay on her back and keep her face out of the water!

 And of course we had to keep up our driving lessons since we were still technically in a campground ;-)

Then we headed out at 5:30 in the morning to come home...she stayed awake until 7:30 and then realized she just couldn't make it on so little sleep...thank goodness!!

What a great family vacay! We feel so blessed to have taken this time to get away for one last time as a family of three...and (if we are being totally honest) are a little intimidated by a vacation next year as a family of four, but we'll see what happens! :)
